Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing ProgramOn February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which ludes $1.5 billion for a Homelessness Prevention Fund. Funding for this program, called the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP), is being distributed based on the formula used for the Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) program. Grantees may provide rental assistance or services to eligible program participants who are residing or would like to reside outside their jurisdiction.
They may also fund ubgrantees that serve persons outside of the jurisdiction, subgrantees that are located outside of the jurisdiction, and subgrantees that serve multiple jurisdictions. A grantee may establish more stringent requirements, such as requiring that HPRP funds be spent within the jurisdiction or establishing a residency requirement,but HUD is not setting these requirements.Counties served.

I been homeless since aug. 2019, we stay a hotel in south gate but soon we wont have any money to continue . We are a family of 7 even though i had to split up the fam. 2 kids are with their dad and 2 other high school twins were with a auntie, return to us and we also have a 8 year old boy . The reason why we are going through this is because we got evicted from our previuos home. We werent familiar with the court sytem regarding evictions. We didnt have money to get an attorney. We have proofs of what had happen that led us to the court. Judge didnt gave us a chance to speak. My husband works and income is not an issue, as he also is rebuilding his credit. For the moment i dont work, my credit is poor. But we do have an eviction which was consider unfair. Please help us by renting a house in bell gardens all the kids go to school there. We are asking for help with the deposit, 1st month Im afraid of running out of money soon and end up in the streets specially during this covid19 Thanks
I need help with rent. This is very hard for me. Last time I ask Paths to help me keep my mobile home. They told me they couldn't help Forever and I need to move. No help in moving, no help in finding a place. However, I am on disability and still need help. Currently, I looking for senior citizens low income apartment.
