The Housing Authority of Cass County is the oldest Housing Authority in the State of North Dakota. The organizational meeting was held on April 5, 1951 and the first Public Housing units were built in 1961 in West Fargo. They operate public housing in the Cities of West Fargo, Casselton and Kindred. Rent is calculated on 30% of your adjusted monthly income.
They also have the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Using this program allows you to move into an rental unit that is owned by a private landlord. Like public housing, your rent is based upon 30% of your adjusted monthly income. Cass County Housing administers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program for Richland and Traill Counties.
