The Hartford Housing Authority was created in 1977 by the Town Select board to address the shortage of safe, sanitary dwelling accommodations for low-income family and elderly persons at rentals they could afford.
They continue to work with this issue. Although time has marched on and many things have changed, our area continues to have a shortage of affordable housing.
