The Utah County Housing Authorityprovides housing assistance to persons who meet program income guidelines. Income limits vary by program. Their mission is to provide affordable safe and sanitary housing in their community. Several programs help us accomplish theirmission:
They subsidize rent to private owners in behalf of program-eligible persons and families.They own 130 apartments and duplexes throughout Utah County that they rent to program-eligible persons and families. They weatherize homes to provide comfort and safety and reduce energy costs. They lend funds on very affordable terms to homeowners for approved repairs and modernization. Victims of domestic violence, the elderly, handicapped and families may be eligible for certain preferences. The Department of Housing and Urban Development furnishes theirmajor funding. They are a political subdivision of the State of Utah. A five-member Board of Commissioners oversees theirprograms.
