My husband and I are currently living in a hotel in a discounted room ( owner trying to help us out), but we're not able to afford the $54 rent as of today. I have been laid off from my job, and his plumbing job isn't busy enough to support his employment. We are hours away from being on the streets. The hotel changes owners Monday, and the current owner has given us until Monday to catch up and become current before he has to ask us to leave. We're without a vehicle and most of our belongings have been stolen, but what we still own will have to be left behind once kicked out of here, bc we can't carry it all while on foot.
rent is outrageous now days i think it should be against the law to raise rent this high how is people like us low income suppose to afford something nice decent its crazy
