Last night was my last staying at the house my mom and dad owned for 48 years together. When my father passed three years ago, and needed help, I, her eldest son, moved into the house and have been her sole caretaker until the house was sold to support her going to an assisted living facility after having two falls six months ago; I was allowed to stay in the house after that until it sold, however, because of the Covid virus situation, we did not know when (or even if) the house would sell, but, it did—just recently— and I am now without a place to live and not enough funds for both a security deposit and first month’s rent for a new place to live. Additionally, I am a retired federal government employee with a modest retirement annuity as my only income. I need some kind of help ASAP to find a suitable rental property; until then, I will be sleeping in my car or trying to. Thank you.
