Among services available are a food pantry, a thrift store, and assistance with rental or utility payments. Those in need can receive food every 30 days. For rent and utility assistance, you may receive service once every 18 months and for Beaches Energy service, you may go every 12 months.
To receive any food or financial service from BEAM, you must bring:
a current lease with your name as an occupant
picture ID for the person requesting assistance
social security cards for everyone in your household.
For financial services, you must bring:
proof of income
proof of emergency along with the listed items.
Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements.
Please contact them directly for more detailed information or to schedule an appointment.
Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry also accepts volunteers.
There are information sessions and an application is needed to be completed.
