I spoke to *** a few weeks ago and she specifically told me that she could help me with first and security if I move out of Monroe County to a place I can afford. I spent two weeks looking for something and then a week trying to contact her to make sure she could still help. I found a place for $333, something I can manage. Today she told me she misinformed me. I had a car donated to me by a Baptist Church, had I known she was wrong, I would have asked for housing assistance instead! Now I have 7 days until I am completely homeless. What difference does it make if I move to a different county in FL?! It’s something I can afford! You are trying to keep me here, to beg over and over for help in a place I can’t afford! The catholic charities where I was planning on moving to won’t even accept a call from me until Monday morning, that apt is going to be long gone by then!! And then, they’ll only help with $400 and I have to drive 11 hours for an interview to see if they’ll accept me! I’m disabled, I’m sick from mold, I’m being domestically abused but all you care about is that I stay here!! I’m so angry and terribly disappointed. Thanks! Y’all just made me homeless on March 1st!
