Almost Home offers shelter and housing assistance programs and services to those in need that qualify. This assistance is dependent upon available funding and applicants must meet eligibility requirements. Services may be available to assist with needs such as Shelter and Hotel Vouchers, Case Management and Referrals, Transitional Housing, Financial Assistance for Rent and Utilities and others.

Requirements for Rental Assistance:
1. Must be a US Citizen or have Legal Residency (Colorado ID and valid Social Security Card will be required of all adults.)
2. Verifiable and ongoing income is required. Income from cash, babysitting or temp. agencies will not qualify.
3. Monthly income must be $200 or more than your rent or mortgage.
4. Must be able to prove that you have been living in Adams or Weld County for the last 3 months.
5. Families with children can qualify for up to $200, but rest of bill must be paid prior to making appointment.
6. Families with no children can qualify for up to $100, but rest of bill must be paid prior to making appointment.
7. All Heads of Households must have a Colorado ID and valid Social Security Card.
8. All children must have insurance or Medicaid.
Requirements for Utility Assistance:
1. Must be a US Citizen or have Legal Residency (Colorado ID and valid Social Security Card will be required of all adults.)
2. Verifiable and ongoing income is not required.
3. Must be able to prove that you have been living in Adams or Weld County for the last 3 months.
4. Must first apply for LEAP and receive an approval or denial letter.
5. If your total bill (actual amount of the total owed) is over $1,000, they cannot provide assistance.
