Air Force Enlisted Village is an assisted living facility for surviving spouses of retired Air Force personnel.
The agency provides housekeeping, beauty salon, transportation and laundry services. It has a staff that includes servers, housekeepers and in-house maintenance. The agency also conducts several recreational and social activities, such as arts and crafts, bingo and card games, special event celebrations, and holiday and birthday parties. For the Hawthorn House, all applicants must be either the surviving spouse of a military retiree, a military couple, the dependent of an active-duty military member or a military retiree, and/or age 55 or older. For the Bob Hope Village, all applicants must be ambulatory, able to live independently, and possess a valid military ID card.
Surviving spouses of retired enlisted Air Force, Air National Guard or Air Force Reserve members applying for long-term residence must be at least 55 years of age.
