These programs are income based and each have separate eligibility requirements applicants must meet. There may be waiting lists for these programs and at times the lists may close due to the size of or length of wait on the lists.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Resident Services Department is to offer training, employment and educational opportunities to assist residents of the Sarasota Housing Authority in realizing economic self-sufficiency.

My husband and I are both unemployed. I am currently enrolled in school to better myself for my family. We are living off my husbands unemployment and we need help paying rent. We are both currently looking for employment with no luck. I am scared we are going to get evicted soon and we will have no place to go. Is there any organizations that can help pay rent so this doesn't happen. I have 2 children and I am scared to death of having to live on the streets. Please help!!! Thank you, Amy
I am a single mother of 2 children and have just lost my job, on top of that i was just the victim of a home invasion where all my money was taken. my landlord doesn't seem to care cause she decided to give me a 3 day notice to pay 850.00 dollars or vacate the apt. i don't know what to do , i'm scared to death of having my children taken from me or being homeless.If anyone can help or has ideas on how i can get help please call me at 941-328-2743 we have tryed all churches and such options we need new ideas thank you.
