About Volusia County Community Emergency Rental Assistance
Last-Modified: 2024-01-30 10:55:35The Volusia County Community Assistance Division offers rental assistance and provides safe housing for families and the elderly throughout Volusia County by a means of the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8.
Participants are able to find their own suitable housing, including single-family homes, townhouses and apartments.
Eligibility:
Based on the annual household gross income and composition.
Applications:
Written applications are accepted only during an open waiting list period.
All applicants will be placed on a waiting list by the date and time applications were received
There will be an interview to follow to determine eligibility of the program.
Mission Statement: Mission: to increase the public’s awareness and knowledge of County services, programs and issues being confronted by the leaders of County government; to assist County departments with publication and video needs; to coordinate the County’s emergency public information; and to coordinate County marketing, advertising and public relations programs.

I am a single mother of 3 looking for some help I am currently homeless wondering if there’s any assistance with first and last months rent.
My son was helping with my rent because of my income,he no longer can help, his funds are no longer there because of the virus.my income between ss & SSI is 803.00 monthly, my rent is 750.00 + elect,TV,car insurance.All paper good , non food like cleaning stuff. I ve had my name in Ceder Okes Apts since ,2016, I don't know what to do ?? I applied on this for hud,they approved me for Ceder Okes.Any chance my land lord could accept Hud so I don't have to move? Are there application for them to fill out if they accept??? I m 80 & indepent so far.
