NMAS strives to prevent homelessness by making housing available to eligible clients. This is done through:
Financial assistance provided by the HOPWA program to meet the costs of shelter
OR
Placing clients in housing owned by NMAS

The Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program (HOWPA) allows NMAS, as funds are available, to provide eligible clients with financial assistance for mortgage, rent, and utilities costs.
Mission Statement: New Mexico AIDS Services is a nonprofit organization that advocates for and enhances the lives of people affected by HIV and AIDS by providing direct services and prevention education.

I've been homeless for six years and haven't been able to get into a place of my own I'm a senior and disparate dire need of a place of my own to bring in my daughter was 17 years old and has been living on the streets and I'm definitely need to try to get her thank you

I'm still trying to get rent assistance ten months later . If we could have help wen promised . My family wouldn't be in this situation. With section 8 taking my valchure during this pandemic with no compassion. My kids had to watch felons get freedom but a family is fighting to not get evicted. I starting to think fraudulent play with the rent assistance money. Maybe an investigation shout take place.

my mom just had a stroke, we are trying to renew her voucher for section 8 to stay in this apartment, we have been calling to the office for quit some times and they have never responded, we are still sending emails and leaving voice mail to get her the voucher
