The Otsego County United Way established First Call for Help in 1991. Since that time, the programs ultimate goal has been to insure that disadvantaged community members can become contributing community members. Today, the program employs a full-time coordinator funded as a program service from the Otsego County United Way. This integral community position is responsible for aiding Otsego County residents often families who face eviction, homelessness, utility shutoff, and other economic hardships.
