People's Resource Center (PRC) offers emergency rent and mortgage assistance to qualifying clients who are unable to pay rent or make a security deposit due to a temporary financial crisis. The purpose of the program is to protect families facing temporary hardships from falling into homelessness.



Clients must live in, or be moving to DuPage County, and have a lease agreement or mortgage. Funds for this program are limited, and clients must meet specific requirements to be considered for rent or mortgage assistance.



If you think you may qualify for this program, call 630-682-5402, ext. 323 and leave a message with your name, phone number, and a short explanation of your situation. You will receive a call back from a staff member.


Also provides a food pantry, clothing, and job assistance.




Mission Statement: People's Resource Center community exists to respond to basic human needs, promote dignity and justice, and create a future of hope and opportunity for the residents of DuPage County, Illinois through discovering and sharing personal and community resources.

I would like to apply for security deposit I would like to move as soon as possible I am disabled and I'm a client of DuPage County Department of Human Services . I have a month to month lease I told the landlord I will be looking for something I know it's hard times now with the corona virus that's happening in the world I really appreciate some help right now I'm having a hard time with the tennis breaking in and out of my apartment for the last two years since I've been here and the management won't do anything about it I am disabled and I am scared I use Transportation by the public I have no one family here I'm 63 years of age senior I will be looking for something I don't know I'm hoping to find something I can bedroom I have a Section 8 voucher for a 2-bedroom I'm trying to think where should I go I don't want to stay here in Naperville .

Hi, I am a mother of 2 children unemployed and I was in Europe to visit my family and I got stuck there because airport was closed for and cancelled flights fmwer happen almost every single day due to covid19 pandemic aid , I recently came back and I haven’t gotten a job yet it is very tough, my husband recently started working but he cannot make enough yet to be able to pay rent and mortgage, My bank account is almost overdrafting and its frustrating when you have no way to turn while having small children.

I'm in need for a place for myself and my dog, I have to be out of a bad situation. I'm 66 and have health issues. My daughter lives in Woodridge and my grandson would be able to come and help me a few day's a week. I have SSI and Medicaid.
