It provides direct assists at critical times with shelter, utility and medical expenses, food, clothing and transportation, educational and work related needs. The program goal is to provide a stabilizing force in the lives of individuals and families in crisis by giving them access to life-sustaining needs. It has multiple outreach components in order to best respond to the changing needs of the individuals and community they serve: Matching Payments; Medical Matters; Victims of Crime Assistance; Empowering Families & Youth, etc.

I have been homeless since September of 2019 and i have a voucher from K.C Housing choice voucher programs my inspection is on the 30th i will need 500.00 deposit to move in May 1st is it all possible to get help with this.
I need help finding my brother a place to live. Right now he's Homeless and have nowhere to go, he has no money and he has medical problems like Bipolar, Gout and sciatic nerve problems and his back a legs
This year has completely shattered our family. We are suffering financially, emotionally, and health. I was a teacher in Olathe, Kansas. I lost my job due to a car accident which caused severe injuries. We lived in a 4 bedroom home for 17 years. We had two incomes, and credit cards. Now we live on one income, I am fighting for disability, we live in a two bedroom apartment and I recently had to be hospitalized at Advent Shawnee Mission. We are being sued by credit card companies, and the mountain of debt is crushing our family. My husband works very hard, but we cannot even make it from paycheck to paycheck. My health care is the ER as we cannot afford insurance. I feel like a burden to my family, and I desperately want to feel better and teach, but instead I have health problems which prevent me from contributing to my family. I was told I have liquid around my heart, but I cannot get help because I have no insurance. Last time I was hospitalized because I was septic. I need to eat a special diet, but eating healthy is not cheaper than eating unhealthy. I cannot afford medication I need just to make it day to day, and basic items like towels, sheets, are luxury items. We are fighting everyday to make it to the next day.
I am facing an eviction this weekend and I would really just like someone to get back to me so I can ask a few questions on what I need to do to get approved and If I will even meet the requirements.
