Wayne County Job and Family Services provides aid to families to buy items or pay for services that are emergencies and non-recurring (a situation not extending beyond 4 months) and which cannot be addressed using existing community resources.

The type of request MUST be directly related to the category under which they qualify (see "eligibility" for details).

In general, PRC MAY BE USED FOR:

Certain appliances and repair of appliancesCar repairsClothing/shoes (work clothing or uniforms only)House/apartment/mobile home lot rent payments or security depositsUtility bill payment assistance (including water)Baby furnitureBeds/mattresses (generally only for children, but in some cases may be approved for an adult if need is related to a disaster or a work-related situation). PRC MAY NOT BE USED FOR:

Living and dining room furniture, Entertainment furniture (such as a TV or a radio), Dressers, washers or dryers (unless it is essential for an applicant's employment or needed due to a disability), Court-ordered child support, Parking tickets (or other costs associated with the violation of laws), Mortgage paymentsFees associated with childcare (including co-payment) and medical services (except for pre-pregnancy family planning services).

I am disabled looking to rent an apartment as I am no longer able to afford the place I'm staying in and will soon face eviction for not being able to keep up with rent as I'm renting a room with most of my SSI and ssd check. I will have735$ next month.but need deposit to be able to move can u help as I am unable to save due to the high cost of rent and bills at my current location here in wooster
