U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Housing Choice Voucher Program for residents in the city limits of West Monroe.
This program provides rental assistance for elderly, handicapped,
disabled and low-income families to afford decent, safe, and sanitary
housing in the private market. The participant is free to choose any
housing, including single-family homes, townhouses and apartments, that
meets the requirements of the program.
Preferences are given for those who are elderly, handicapped or
disabled, homeless, living in substandard conditions, or paying more
than 50% of their income for rent and utilities.

I am living in a camper plugged into my parents electric it is falling doe holes in floor and wet in floors where it leaks in walls. And ceilings they are. Coming loose my family want let me when bath their because of the virus I don't have hot water it stove or oven that works I have two small dogs that are both 12 year's old I will not get rid of PLEASE HELP ME!! I GET SSI and I only have 60 dollars left after I pay bills and get groceries my phone.
I lost my job because I was scaired to go back because a co worker caught the virous and they did not shut the place down to be cleaned and I didn't want to take the risk I am the sole provider for my kids and we are about to lose our home I am actively looking for a job but I haven't had much luck and I don't qualify for unemployment I need help please

I was immediately turned away because I'm not elderly. The woman I spoke with made it very clear that they aren't helping anyone unless you are 65 or older. Highly disappointed with this agency.
